I bought these to replace an 8 year old pair of Z/1s. The last pair was made in Colorado and held up to rivers, mountains, and trails. This pair doesn't have the same feel. Same vibram sole but the footbed (that is BROWN) feels softer and less durable. The straps do not feel like they are the same material either - so we'll see how the hold up. Chacos are tops in my book...I hope they have maintained their production quality with their move to China.

I generally love chacos, but these rubbed my feet where the back straps attach at the heel support after only a couple hours in the house. Will be returning. Would work if you have tougher feet or are very narrow through there. My feet are average width.

I finally decided to see why people like this brand. I was really disappointed when I tried them on and adjusted the straps. The footbed is very sturdy and had great support, but the straps are so lightweight they didn't secure my foot enough to the footbed. There really needs to be a better design with the straps. This appears to be the same design on most Chaco sandals.
