No, I would not recommend this to a friend
“Less than a year ago, Chaco sandals were made in Paonia, Colorado. Since that time they were bought out by a large corporation and are now made in China. I own 5 pairs of the Colorado sandals. I use them for everything from daily wear to backup footwear on long hikes. These (China) sandals have the same comfortable footbed and the straps are placed exactly the same as the Colorado-made sandals, but the materials seem to be of lower quality. The straps feel stiff and when I first put them on and the soles squeaked. I don't anticipate that these sandals will last as long as my first pair which I have had for about 7 years and still wear regularly. I would have given the Colorado sandals 5 stars. Because the materials seem shoddier in these, I'm only giving them 3.”
