A fellow hiker friend recommended Chacos to help my plantar fasciitis. He suffers from Achilles tendon problems and swears by them. I’ve had them for several weeks now and I wish I’d had them all of my life. I like them so much that I ordered the shoe version to wear to work. I have never been so happy with a product in my life. They are WONDERFUL! My biggest question is; Why don't Doctors prescribe them?

Overall, I am more than satisfied with this product. I have never owned a pair of Chacos before, but I am thankful I do. I have not worn another pair since purchasing these.

I purchased these sandals based on all the wonderful reviews. So far so good. They fit snugly but not tight, don't slide around, and seem true to size. The diamond pattern on the foot bed does take a little while to get accustomed too, no pain felt as some have noted.
My only minor gripe is the width of the heel bed. I have an average size foot and the sandal as a whole fits to a T, except the heel. It seems where the strapping goes into the sandal, the the loveseat also narrows and It is noticeable when standing. I don't feel the pressure on the sides of my heels when walking though, just standing still. Not painful- just a pressure on the sides of my heels, more in one foot than the other. I guess I need a medium sandal with a wide sandal heel :)
Great purchase, awesome price. Shipping a bit slow - one week. Will buy from STP again.

If your feet are going to get wet tromping through puddles or hitting a muddy trail you might as well do it in style. I even use these leading backpack trips on moderate trails. This is one of the few things that are predictable in my life, when a pair of Chacos wear out I replace them with a new pair of Chacos.
