Straps were comfortable once I got them adjusted which took some time. But the problem came when I began to walk; I must have wide heels because at the back of the sandal on both feet the sides of the footbed dug into my heels. It felt like walking on rocks all day- needless to say they were returned.

It is a little easier to adjust and there is little to no worry about pinching. They are so comfy and so easy to adjust, I have wide, fat, feet, but they are a size 6 so it is so hard to find sandals that actually fit. Being able to adjust these to my weird feet makes all the difference. The sole is very sturdy without being heavy.

Initially I ordered up for the half size as suggested but the straps were too long and I couldn't get them tight enough. I returned them for a 6 and they fit wonderfully. I am usually a 6.5 and on the narrow side for feet. I have worn theses for day hiking up to about 3 miles, fly fishing, biking, car camping, beach trips, and around town. I ordered the style with the toe loops and I really like them, I have also worn them with socks tucking the toe loop under and they were still comfortable for a cold morning while camping. I have owned Keen sandals and tevas in the past and liked both brands. I would definitely purchase another pair chacos as the need arises.

I did have to go down a half size instead of up so returned and exchanged the same shoe/different size. I am an 8.5 and the 9 was too big but the 8 is great and comfy!
