An updated ChacoGrip® lugged rubber outsole delivers even more wet-surface traction, too.

That is how I broke them in and my legs or feet didn't hurt at all. I even took a 2 mile walk in them on day 1!!

They are so comfortable and have great arch support. I walk everywhere with my dog, and these sandals are the best for doing that and they keep my feet energized and cool and comfortable. The only thing that isn't perfect about these sandals is that there are two straps, one thin and one thicker, in every location except across the back and the buckle strap. I was concerned that that would make it more difficult to get them on and in position. It is a little more difficult, but still not too bad. I would give these a 4 1/2, but since that's not an option, a 5 will have to do.

I love the way you can tighten or loosen the whole sandal (toe to heel) in order to make it comfy! Some days my feet are a little swollen, so that is a definite plus!!
