Chaco ZX/1 Yampa Sport Sandals (For Women)

I haven't really worn these besides around the house because it's the middle of winter. I've wanted some chaco sandals forever and finally broke down because these were on sale. They are very attractive outdoor sandals, with a nice strap pattern. Size down if you are a half size because they run fairly large (I normally wear 7.5 and bought a 7 and it was the right size). The sole itself is on the wide side but the straps are adjustable enough to make the sandal well-fitted, even for my narrow feet. My major complaint about these sandals is that the arch is really intense. It almost causes supination. I feel like they overcompensated in trying to give you a lot of support in a sandal. Because of this issue, I went back and forth about whether to keep them but decided to because they are fairly comfortable otherwise.

I purchased a black pair 2 years ago and love the fit and comfort of the z1 sandals. When I saw them in brown, I was expecting the same fit. That was not the case. The footbed is narrower in the heel and rubbed on the outer edge of my heels. I wasn't sure if the shoes were defective so I exchanged them for another pair. The same thing happened with the second pair. I'm so disappointed with the new footbed. I'm out $16 for the shipping and return shipping.

I had friends who raved about Chacos and I needed a pair of sandals for an upcoming trip so I ordered these. Great adjustment options to fit your foot, pattern was neutral so they would match most of my outfits, I could wear them in the water. I didn't like the texture on the top of the sandal and I had to get used to it, but I am guessing it is so your foot has something to grip and not slide all over. Overall I love the sandal, it was great for a week of walking and playing on the beach.

Theses shoes are so comfortable and fit great, they're easy to tighten and loosen. They look great, I had originally wanted a brighter color of Chacos but the brown and tan colors look awesome together and match anything!
