5.0 out of 5 stars. Best sport sandal there is

I have had several pairs of Chacos over the years. They are the best sport sandal out there. I like that they are less clunky than some. I had tried several other brands before finding Chacos. I have a wide foot, but because of the straps being completely adjustable, I was able to wear the regular width with my first pair (way back before Chaco had a wide width, and before I had children and my foot got even wider!) Once they had a wide I tried it and I liked it even better.

I wear mine almost every day when the weather is warm enough. When the sole gets thin, you can get them resoled too through Chacos website.

It is true that the Z2s and ZX2s take some time to break in. The straps are still "slippery" and easy to slide back and forth at first, and so it tightens on your toe with walking. But after a while, the straps don't slide so easily. Even given that, some people just don't like the toe wrap - I like it though. I actually found the Z1 (without the toe loop) to cause more rubbing after a lot of walking.

These are great for usual sandal use but supportive enough for adventure use. I did get a blister on my heel initially, but had worn these two days in a row for many hours. The felt comfortable so that was a bit of a shock. The shoe bed is a material that is easy to clean & seems unlikely to absorb odors!

This is my second pair of Chacos; after having one for a year I figured it was a good idea to get another one so that I have two around. They fit well and have fantastic arch support and are really built to last!

About Chaco

There's a good reason why Chaco shoes have maintained a devoted following of adventurous souls (proudly known as Chaconians) for more than 25 years. From the incredible, arch-supporting footbed to the totally unique strap configuration, Chaco sandals fit like a glove and provide amazing support. Originally created by Mark Paigen in 1989, Chaco sandals have since evolved from a single pair of “Ultimate Sport Sandals” into an array of adventure-ready footwear products, including Chaco boots, sneakers and even clogs. Plus, to reduce waste and help loyal Chaconians get more miles out of their favorite kicks, this brand has even introduced the ReChaco Project, which allows customers to send in their worn or damaged sandals to be repaired.
