It's kept my neck, chin, nose, and face overall much warmer while out walking and running in the cold, and wind in the Rocky Mountains. It's also great for winter sports, such as sledding in fresh powder that blows into one's face. Laying flat on a table it is about 9 3/4 inches tall and 10 1/2 inches wide. I've found it to be the perfect height; covering my nose, but not coming out from under my jacket. I also find the purple to look very nice with my jacket of the same color. The only down side I would say is that the moisture of your breath makes the material slightly damp. I don't notice it at all while I'm wearing it, but if I take it off for a short time before putting it on again the damp cloth is uncomfortable against my face. However the problem is easily remedied by turning the gaiter slightly so a dry portion touches your face instead. Overall 5 star neck gaiter.

I bought two others from the same company (Chaos) at a ski shop in Lake Tahoe and they were a little thinner than this one! I wish they were all like this one. Perfect for skiing in cold and wind. The price was amazing!
