Charles Nolan Lana Cardigan Sweater- Merino Wool (For Women)

Crystal buttons don't go at all with nice but casual wool. If it hadn't been so large (maybe because the size was mismarked) I would have kept it and changed the buttons.

Has relaxed fit, which I prefer so I can wear over blouse.

I like the sweater a lot but it has problems. It's nice wool, a bit stiff, but thick and warm, not as soft or thin as most other merino wools, but good quality. The crystal buttons are whimsical, pretty, but come out of the holes a lot. I will have to sew them up a bit. For the sale price it was worth getting this sweater but I wouldn't buy it at full price. It's a cozy thing, a gorgeous color and I will get a lot out of it - and it will take me through, I think, many seasons.

I normally wouldn't spend this much for a sweater ([$]) but I had high hopes for this one, so I went ahead and purchased it.Pros: Quality made, absolutely beautiful color that would go with several outfits, I wanted a longer sweater so the length was perfect (I'm 5'6"), not too bulky but warm.Cons: The buttons are definitely NOT my style at all. They look like little disco balls! Pretty ugly imo. They can be removed and replaced with other buttons pretty easily if you want to spend the extra money. The sleeves definitely are a bit long but that didn't bother me- it's the fit. It just made me look lumpy. Let's just say it didn't do my figure any favors! Also, the belt is too short to tie and look neat. Needless to say, I will be returning the sweater with hopes that I'll find one I like better at Sierra Trading Post.

It is a beautiful sweater and I have gotten many compliments on it-It has a great color, hangs nicely, and makes me look very thin-Am off to buy another one before the stock disappears

I purchased this sweater after much deliberation and research. To help you make a decission, please check out the Charles Nolan website. You will find the sweater in the Fall 07 file. The periwinkle blue sweater is of a classic cut with ball shaped crystal buttons and nice quality wool. What makes it different is that it is MEANT to be oversized...It just about covers my bottom (I am 5'11") and the sleeves extend past my wrists, but once again, they are meant to. I do believe that STP is sizing the sweater incorrectly though. I am a size 14 and purchased the large. It does fit, but it is form fitting rather then loose (loose fit would make it look more modern). However, I have decided to keep this size as I have been loosing some weight recently...I'd say the large is equivalent to a loose fitting US10-12. I definitely recommend the sweater due to its versatility (you could take it from "aroud the house" to a party, depending on with what else you wear it), but be forewarned: purchase it ONLY if you want an oversized sweater...You will not be dissapointed! Thank you STP for the great find at a great price!

I'm 5'8". This sweater hung down over my bum. I was afraid I would be sitting on it all day at work. I also wondered how the back side would hold up over time. It was very pricey even on sale. So I returned it.
