I feel the XL runs more like an XLT (extra large tall). Has an excellent fit through the shoulders, looks like a tailored made shirt - the shoulder seams lay were they are suppose to and not down on my upper arm. The material is more of a very light breathable mesh material. Not the cotton pique that I am use to in a higher end polo, but as I said for the price it is "okay"
