Chippewa Moc-Toe Boots - Waterproof Chukkas (For Women)

This is a wonderfully comfortable, heavy duty, lug sole, all purpose outdoor boot. It was genuinely comfortable right out of the box on Christmas Eve when I had to tromp through the snow to my daughter's house. (They looked like they were stiff, but were not at all.) Also, I have searched high and low for a boot with a moc toe (like a pair I finally wore out from another manufacturer who no longer makes that style), so I was especially delighted to find these Chippewas and at such a good price. Actually they are so perfect I would have paid full price if necessary.

This poor boot has so much abuse to put up with.I'm a hard working farm wife .I ride horses,shoveldung,garden,hike,mow yard,prune our orchard and finally process my own chickens.Things that are great about this product? I finally found a comfortable work boot .The bad part your discontinuing it!!!! Back to square one

These boots are very stiff sturdy leather and will need to be worn quite a bit before being broken in. They caused a slight bruise on the inside of my right leg where the top of the boot was rubbing the first time I wore them (even with knee high thick socks) but my husband says that boots like these typically need to be worn quite a bit to break them in so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. I bought them to wear outside as we live in the country with lots of animals to take care of and made the purchase with that in mind. I have not had the oppurtunity to find out how warm they are yet but we live in northern Minnesota and that oppurtunity will come very soon! I am still hoping that I can make them work because the foot part was very comfortable, it is the stiff ankle leather that I am having trouble with.
