These boots fit right out of the box. Better than the $189 ones I bought from a major retailer. Not too stylish but they are comfortable for extended periods of walking over rought terrain.

The flap on the tongue rubs constantly - I see no way that this would get better over time, since it is a design issue. The pair I received also had one shoe darker (treated) than the other. I had the return the product, which was a bummer. This was the best product I found for winter. Still searching.

i ordered a size 6 based on everyone's positive comments and fell in love until i tried them on - even with my thickest socks on they were very long, the arch support was back too far - about half under my heel, and the tongue was very still and bruised my ankle during the few hours i wore them around the house. quite uncomfortable for me and i was sad because they are really good looking boots.

The soles appear to be well designed to help prevent slipping on icy sidewalks. The difficulty is in pulling them on, very narrow entry.

Wow...a pair of boots that is comfortable right out of the box. A bit stiff at first, but soon loosened up. Easy to lace up. They are wonderful. I appreciate being able to hike without gathering dry grass/weed stickers in my footwear. Waterproof is a plus. They are insulated enough to be warm in winter too. I wish I had bought two pairs.
