These are great towels. I only bought two the first time because all of the reviews weren't all good. After I received them I ordered several more. They are great towels; soft, generous size.

Luxurious towel - doesn't dry as quickly as the cheap towels, but what do you expect? I'm going to get more like this.

As stated by the headline this towel is huge! How big? It's over 6 inches wider than the average "bath towel" which makes it as wide as a "bath sheet." True to the STP description (800 gsm), it is thick and heavy. [...]. My only complaint and the reason for not giving it five stars is that its width does not allow it to hang fully spread on many towel bars.

The towels do shed fuzz quite a bit after washing and several times in the dryer. I will be the most happy when this stops.

My large husband needs a towel that is substantial and this towel does the trick. They are very thick and absorbent. Bit heavy to wrap a head of hair in so I use a lighter weight towel but he loves them.

    • The manufacturer's care instructions say to machine wash and dry. I would say they would be fine to dry on a low setting.

About Christy of England

Why are Christy towels so incredibly soft and absorbent? On a rewarding journey to Constantinople in the 1840s, Henry Christy discovered a luxurious loop-pile towel fabric and knew he’d found something special. Crafting the soft cotton pile into a bath towel, Christy presented it to Queen Victoria, who was immediately smitten. Like nothing the western world had ever seen (or felt), these absorbent linens were quickly dubbed "Royal Turkish Towels," and thus the legacy of Christy bath towels began. Christy towels are still crafted from the absolute finest in Turkish cotton or Egyptian cotton, and many Christy towels are still woven in the company's traditional Cheshire mill. Christy also produces high-quality bathrobes, bed linens and bath accessories like washcloths and tub mats. Indulge in a first-class experience and discover the luxurious cotton in Christy towels… finely crafted to ensure you receive the royal treatment each and every time you bathe.
