A good weight without being too bulky, nice non-skid on back (not the spray latex stuff that doesn't last). Excellent for the money and looks like it would last a long time.

I did not wash the mat, since I don't care aboput the soles of my feet. The towels wash beautifully, so cannot imagine a problem. The size of this mat, although well-stated in the product description, would be better if just a couple of inches larger
