(I am in Minnesota and sometimes mitts are the best outdoor protection) There is a thin lining which is very soft. The leather itself is pliable and supple, but thin as well. But don't get me wrong, it's leather and it's sturdy. They are sharp gloves, and the snap makes for nice detail and extra fitting. I bought both brown and black and I am glad I did.
