Great for my work where I alternate between standing and sitting, office and warehouse, manufacturing and lab. Lots of long concrete walkways. You expect a lightweight but supportive shoe from Clarks and these fit the bill. They look a bit clunky, but for work they're great.

These shoes are surprisingly light yet belie a lot of comfort. I don't know how they'll hold up as they seem really flexible and lightweight, but I come from sort of bomb-proof heavy shoes that weight about twice what these do. For me, these fit a bit big...if you have a dress shoe size and a running shoe size, I'd suggest you go for the smaller. I ordered these in my running shoe size and they were slightly too big, my foot was swimming around a bit. That said, they were cut wide enough in the forefoot to accommodate my wide-ish foot, and the heel section had a nice suede-like piece that, I assume, is meant to help deter heel slippage, which is great for narrowish heels like mine. Minimally constructed dress shoes often give me major heel blisters from the slippage. I think these would have been fine (again, in the proper size) in that regard, even with the mere three eyelet style, which can only do so much for securing your foot. Overall, I love the style of this shoe/boot, and the height was great and didn't seem to cause any ankle rub, etc. Very comfortable right out of the box. Not exactly a 'rugged' shoe, more a lightweight walking/work shoe.

I had a pair of Clarks about 8 years ago. Knew the quality and, so far, that remains true. Stylish, casual, light shoes. They don't offer a tremendous amount of support at the ankle.

Knowing that most Clark shoes are comfortable, I took a chance and wore this pair for the first time to a convention - where I would be on my feet all day. I did not think about them once, they were that comfortable, and they look good too.
