I fish hard on rivers that are swift and surrounded by briars; and, I can't get more than about one season from a pair of waders before they start leaking. I am hoping that these Cloudveil waders hold up and don't leak like every other brand I've tried, from all of the major sellers: Orvis, LL Bean, Cabelas, Bass Pro, Redington, and others

I wanted to update my first review. I wore these on a 5 day camping/flyfishing trip up to the Lower Sierras. They were comfortable, very breathable. I walked and fished for hours during the warmth of the days....no problem. Light weight and durable.

I received these waders on a Friday afternoon and I took them down to the Blackwater Canyon for some early spring flyfishing the next day. The trail is ultra-rugged, extremely steep (900 ft vertical drop over a 150 yards horizontal distance - like a ladder of roots and rock), and it was unseasonable warm...about 75 degrees. These waders were easily packed into a small backpack, with my vest, boots, and water. When we reached the bottom of the canyon, some 45 minutes later, I donned my Cloudveil Crystal Creek Waders and spent the next 5 hours in the water. No leaks...didn't get hot...and they dried VERY quickly prior to me stuffing them back in the backpack and climbing out of the Canyon. We caught some nice rainbows and had a great day! THANKS STP!!!

Purchased these waders for fishing freshwater from my float tube. The Gore-Tex makes these waders worth the purchase. The fit through the legs is less roomy than I would have liked, but manageable. Overall the fit is decent, I'm 6'4" 254lbs. (size 12 foot)and the XLL were true to size. [...]

I'm 6'3" 230 and the XLL fits well. I split my fishing between wading and floating (drift boat or pontoon boat) and I like waders that are a bit longer in the inseam. For sitting in a boat it's more comfortable and when hiking in it's less restrictive. Also, I've had the Cloudveil 8x for about a year and these has a few less features but the material appears the same. Cloudveil makes quality stuff and you can't beat STP's prices.

These waders replace a nine year old pair of Simms Waders. The Cloudveil waders are lighter and have built in gaiters which are much easier to use. I am 6' 3" and got XLL. They are very easy to get on and off and the size is great. There's plenty of slack material for bending, crawling, scrambling, etc. The fish seem to like the waders too. First time wearing them, I caught 8 beautiful browns and bows.

I woulda rated them higher however i havent used them enough, took them fishing one time, worked great, they are alittle thin so be sure to wear layers underneath, other than that they worked great, were extremely comfortable and were a great fit which is hard to find for someone as tall as me, im 6'6''
