“I purchased this product in anticipation of an Everest Base Camp trek this October-November, wanting a garment I could wear with my daypack that would be warm, breathable, windproof, and flexible without being a shell garment. The design, weight and color of this garment, in addition to the single other review ("super warm") attracted my attention. [...]The fit is athletic, not too tight but definitely fitted, closer around the hips than the shoulders. I am burdened with the classic female pear shape, so fit at the hips is always a concern. This M jacket fits smoothly over 41" hips, the shoulders aren't too big, and the extended turtleneck fits nicely under my chin. Sleeve length is perfect. Did I mention the color? It's RED!!!! my favorite equipment color in the mountains, and rarely used in women's technical clothing. [...] Comments on various features: The Napoleon pockets should work well for stashing snacks, lip balm, small camera, etc., without interference by pack straps. The fabric, with the Windstopper membrane, doesn't feel too "boardy" as I've noticed in other Windstopper garments. The turtleneck has a nifty elastic drawstring cord & lock mechanism inside the top edge, accessed by an exterior port at the back of the neck, for extra draft protection (imagine drawing the jacket's neck around the neck portion of a balaclava! Wind? What wind?). The only "con" - if it's a con - is that when I raise my arms the garment's torso section comes up slightly. Another manufacturer uses an "angel-wing" design to minimize this tendency. If I were Cloudveil...Apparently this garment's part of Cloudveil's Angling line - but it will be equally suitable for high-altitude hiking or street wear. Very, very nice garment. I expect to be warm. [...]”
