Cloudveil Spinner Fishing Pants - Soft Shell, Convertible (For Men)

ok, they're cloudveil...known for quality. they are 'fishing' pants. i don't fish, but i do hike camp, travel, etc. i was probably drawn in by the brand...& the great price. what a surprise! they are extremely comfortable and a great all-around pair of pants that go far beyond the moniker of fishing pants.

Really like the material these pants are made out of and the fit is nice. I have long legs and these were barely long enough, which isn't unusual for me. Probably fine for most everyone else.

I've never been disappointed with Cloudveil's products, and these pants are no exception. They were great on a week-long canoe trip.

I was worried that these pants would look like fishing pants. They did not, in fact are great soft shell pant for any activity (in town or off road). Incredibly comfortable.

Typical Cloudveil quality - loved the heavy feel of the softshell fabric, but it was too roomy in the butt and legs and a bit long inseam. It would be great for travelling IF they fit you...

These pants are great for whatever type of fishing you want to do. I've gone trolling in cold wheather, streamside, shore fishing, bowfishing, and wader fly-fishing with these pants and they performed great in all situatins. I was most impressed with their wind stopping and water resistant qualities, even after multiple washes. I would recomend these pants to anyone.

Great feel

the 34 waist seems to be on the tight side, however I do buy pants in the 34-36 range so overall the fit seems to be accurate. I also like the length of the shorts, they are one of the first pair that are long enough.

I bought these pants for cold-weather hiking and traveling, not fishing. They do the job! Last week I used them for snow-shoeing in dry conditions - they kept me warm with only a baselayer underneath. I also wear them while biking in rain and they keep me reasonably dry in mild rainfall. It is an extremely stretchy soft-shell fabric. Water really beads up and rolls off the pant! Good fit and good design, with enough pockets, and the lower leg zips and convertible zips look very useful for summer hiking at high altitudes. Note, they are not very breathable, but that's not what they're meant for. Look to be well constructed and durable. Expensive, but seems to be worth it!
