    I bought this jacket for use guiding in the deserts of the southwest and it performed as a great, light, packable, and well-fitted emergency layer. I then moved to Finland and wore it daily as a bike-commuter in the winter and spring. The jacket has the right ventilation, fits an athletic upper body, and is long enough in the sleeves for my climber's monkey arms. It retained its water resistance through tons of wet weather and chafing (under a back pack). this is a great purchase for your dollar.
