Cole Haan Dylan Boots - Plain-Toe (For Men)

I needed a good looking work boot that I could also use with my motorcycle. Nice looking boot that gets compliments. Fits well. The heel although 1/4" rubber is still pretty firm when walking a hard surfaces.

Get a half size smaller and let the leather stretch out a bit. With no laces you can't tighten these boots if they are too big. Loose boots are no fun. The soles are just a teeny bit wide and look a little clunky at first when they are new but as the boot wears in it becomes less noticeable. These do not look like cowboy/western boots. They have a lower heal, rounder toe, and the boot top is lower. You do not need boot cut pants for these. I wear 'em every day.

My husband loves these boots. This is the first pair of leather boots he has owned and he is wearing them constantly. They seem to be very well made and look great with jeans and dress pants.

I've read some of the previous reviews. I am an 11 1/2 D and this boot fit true to my shoe size. The shaft is narrow so, with boot cut jeans, they are perfect. Great look, durable leathers. These can be worn with jeans or slacks. I wondered about the zipper, having never owned a pair of boots w/zipper. However, it hides nicely and the casual observer will not see it. I recommend to anyone.

These boots are excellent quality and good for a number of occasions. I'm usually frugal but I am very happy with this purchase.

Nice boots/price, shoes/boots were on sale at the time + 20% Off. I wear a lot of straight leg jeans, so my boots can be a chore to get on/off. These are easy to wear, and jeans don't ride up (fairly narrow shaft). Bottom of discrete zipper barely visible. The other reviewer is probably right about the wide heel, although my feet are a "wide medium" I've been told. So they seem OK for me, fairly comfortable out of box like most C. Haan's. Nice looking/versatile boots overall...

Cole Hahn makes this great looking boot with fine craftsmanship and elegant leathers. This simple style makes this boot at home with jeans as well as suits and slacks. The boot has a narrow forefoot and a broad heel -- whose foot is shaped like that? I made adjustments with half insoles -- just heel-and-arch supports that cradle the heel to correct the lack of support. So far, this adjustment seems to work, but it would have been better never to have had to make this correction. Boots often have spacy heels to help in pulling the boots off, but this model has a discreet side zipper that allows the foot to be extracted without much tugging or pulling. So why the wide heel?
