Closeouts. Leather trim and elegantly executed quilting lend an upscale urban air to Cole Haan's Stars jacket -- a metro-length coat with understated trench styling and artful stitching to anchor its low-bulk insulation.

Nice good, light weight, super warm and easy to clean. Just what I need for frequent airport travel. Only downside are the tight shoulder and sleeve area which means you can't layer up! I normally wear an 8-10 and have a slim upper body and the large fits but there is no room for a bulky sweater.

I had been searching for such a coat. It is perfect. A little dressy but not too. I ordered a S and it fits just right for my 5'4" 125 lb. frame. Not a coat to wear over bulky clothing but that is fine with me.

I ordered this coat because it filled my need for something transitional. It is beautifully made, and the longer length is fine for my long legs. I was somewhat disappointed in the color, much more navy than the teal blue shown in the catalog and online. I am generally an 8-10, slender build with narrow shoulders, straight hips. Ordered a Medium, was surprised to find it very tight across the top back, shoulders, and bust, altho the waist and hips fit fine. I exchanged it for a Large. Now the shoulders fit, but there is extra fabric in the sides from the bustline all the way down. I decided to keep the large and tailor it to fit me - a nasty but not impossible job. I'd caution others who aren't prepared to do this. Also, the color could be more accurately represented.

I ordered this jacket for one reason - the leather trim. The so-called leather is a thin, flimsy suede-like fabric that feels and looks like cloth. I wanted a pretty, shiny leather trim.
On the other hand, I kept the coat for a few reasons. It's stylish and pretty. The neck opening has a lot of style when opened. If you live in cold country, the snaps all the way down to the hem are a huge plus.
I don't know how rugged this sort of silky quilted fabric is. I can see it snagging. Hope it holds up. I saw this jacket on Amazon in a more expensive style with the rain flaps not stitched down. Surprisingly, this cheaper model looked better on. The diagonal pockets are more flattering. The quilting isn't too bulky.
I ordered an XL, because Cole Haan runs very small. I could have gotten by with a L, maybe. The sleeves are a bit long, but the hem gets right to my knees (5'5"). Good for windy days. It's more of a coat. This is not a winter piece, unless you winter in AZ or FL. The cost was high for my budget, and the crummy fake leather made it a borderline returned item, but I decided I would enjoy having something pretty.

The coat is well made and not bulky. Warm enough for California climate. Snaps on slanted pockets keep phone from falling out. The blue is a nice color, not a navy but still a pseudo neutral. It has become my everyday coat, unless the temperature drops.
