Cole Haan Smooth Lambskin Jacket with Wing Lapels (For Women)

Ooh, I love this coat. My husband forced me to buy it! Actually, it was an impromptu gift. We first saw it after Christmas in the Sierra Trading Post store. It was [$] then. I didn't spring for it, but kept thinking about it, and even looked it up on Cole Haan website. We went to STP store the other day (it's now May) because I was looking for ANOTHER Cole Haan jacket that I saw online. They didn't have that one, but there was my leather jacket, hanging on the rack in just my size. Since I bought the OTHER Cole Haan coat by mail order from the store, I felt I had to pass on the leather one. But the next morning, my husband said "Are you going to buy your leather jacket?" No, I said. "Well, I'll buy it for you." Then I had to get it. That's how good it looks - that my husband would be thinking about how great it looked on me, a middle-aged woman. I wore it for the first time yesterday to work. I thought I would only wear it casually with jeans, but it looked great with an Ann Taylor skirt, blouse and pumps for the office. The leather is extremely soft (I have the cognac color, not black) and the fit flattering. I don't agree with other posters about the sizing - I have broad shoulders, and a 10 fit me perfectly, which is my usual size. Unfortunately, now that the weather is warming here, and I'm leaving on a trip (that's why I bought other jacket), sadly it may be months before I wear it again.

Beautiful, soft leather. This jacket is somewhat fitted and is meant to be worn as part of an outfit or a light jacket in cool weather. It won't keep you warm except that on the day I wore it to work, many people touched me, commenting on the nice leather.

True to size for Cole Haan apparel.

I ordered my usual size and it fits perfectly. Maybe the ladies who had trouble with the chest were well-endowed. It's a beautiful coat that will NEVER go out of style and can take you from a funeral to a wedding to a concert. Go for it!

Very high quality jacket - but the fit is a bit odd

I feel so lucky to get this beautiful jacket at an amazing price. An amazing jacket that is timeless and will last a lifetime!

I tried this jacket on a liked it very much...but after looking again at the price was going to return it....But I just couldn't get over how luxe the leather was and decided it was a jacket I could wear with ANYTHING and would wear year after year when other jackets had become dated.

I bought this in black after seeing it in a name brand department store for much more. Loved the black and saved major dollars. The tobacco color leather is not as soft and I returned it. Cole Haan has brought this out for the fall 2009 again so grab it here.

This jacket is fabulous. It is high-quality, stylish, and has great design. The cut felt true to size, not bulky and not too tight. It will definitely last for many seasons to come.

I'm only 5'2", so I often have to have my sleeves shortened. Other than that this jacket fits perfectly. The leather is sumptious, and I think the style will endure for years.
