    I checked with the person who made our stairs before installing these. He felt that, if they were on the stairs constantly, that eventually they would damage the finish. He suggested another product, which we will try to get.

    This kit worked much better than I thought it would. Our stair treads are adhering very well to the wood steps. I can't think of anything that would work better, so I guess it is well worth the price... no more worries about our golden retriever falling down the steps!!

    Needed stair treads to assist aging large dog navigate stairs. I did not think this product would work, but purchased it anyway. LOVE IT! Very easy installation, 1 kit is enough to install 12 treads (I used 26" lengths.) Have had great results. Thank you STP!

    This was very easy to install and has a good adhesive without being too sticky (looks easy to remove if you wanted). Not sure how long it will keep it's sticky-ness on the rug side, but it was worth the price and easy install for now.

    I used this product to put down stair treads. In the past I had used double sided carpet tape which just didn't hold as well. Because this tape is so wide - almost the entire stair tread is covered and stays put.

    Carpet stair treads installed easily with this adhesive backing. It has been 2 weeks of heavy stair traffic, and carpet treads have not moved. They remain firmly in place. Great product if you do not want to put nails in your hardwood stairs.

    It is essentially a 6" wide double side sticky mesh. Very useful to the hardwood floors. I had to always look for rugs with rubber backing. No more. This solves the problems. Four stars because I have two long term questions 1) whether cleaning would become more complicated, and 2) whether the sticky glue may leave a residue on the floor if I end up having to replace it.
