Colonial Mills Stair Tread Installation Kit

Placed tread on stairs and needed them anchored without tacks. This worked great! If you don't like placement, it is easy to adjust. Although it has only been a few weeks, it is working just as I had expected. It certainly helped the dogs.

This product works great. First time ordering from Sierra could not be more satisfied.

Three active dogs and a cat are no match for these stair tread grippers! We installed them about a week ago under treads with well worn rubberized backing and they haven't moved! I would definitely recommend this product!

The kit is a big roll in which one has to measure and cut oneself. Be careful, it's all a bit sticky. Once I cut the first piece and used it to measure the rest, things ran rather smoothly. It requires a bit of patience but it's doable. The kit seems to be holding surprisingly well but time will tell...

Our stairs were polished hardwood - they frightened one dog and sent another one flying when he raced down the stairs. These stair treads provide the safety they need and look great. The carpet adhesive keeps the treads firmly in place, it doesn't mark the wood and it's simple to remove.

I found it very easy to install using scissors only. So far no problems with the treads lifting or the adhesive lifting.

I bought WAY too much of the installation kit, but am keeping the extra anyway for future use to secure any rugs anywhere in the house. One box (kit) worked for a 12-steps stair case. Seems like a very good product. I have only just installed my stair treads using this installation kit, so haven't tested it over any period of time. Seems to be perfectly adequate for the stair treads which I installed for my dog's safety and mine. Easy to work with. Recommend it.

Simple to use -- adhere exposed sticky side to stair tread carpet back side and roll out enough to cover surface and cut to size. Press in place for good contact with stair tread carpet and peel off protective layer to expose the sticky side that will contact floor/stair surface. Flip stair tread carpet over and press in place on stair surface. I used this product on braided carpet stair treads and applied to hardwood stair surface in high traffic area and they stay in place without fail. I have not tried to remove the product so I have no experience with that process.

This product solved our slippery stairs issue and at a very affordable price. We used this when applying our stair treads and they don't budge. Perfect.

I was not going to order the installation kit, thinking it was just going to be like the stuff you can get in discount stores, but decided to try it. I am glad I did. This adhesion is terrific. I was amazed. The stair treads I used (from [...]) have not budged in two weeks. I have since purchased several more kits to put back for the future.
