    used this product for stair treads and it holds them nicely in place. We have used this type of sticky mat for rugs but this one is better being sticky on both sides.

    I had my doubts about using this for stair treads, but after putting it down several weeks ago, and using the stairs often, I can say it works really well, and I got a great deal on it. It was cheaper at Sierra than any other site on the internet. This is NOT the same as a similar-looking, inexpensive product you can buy in the stores. This stuff is STICKY and holds the stair treads well. I use the other stuff for rugs on the floor.

    Absolutely needed for installing the carpet treads. Perfect width, easy to handle, and the treads do not slip at all. Thinking of buying an extra roll to keep on hand in case I need to pull a tread for cleaning so I can use fresh tape to reinstall. One roll has plenty for a 12-step stairway.

    I purchased some inexpensive stair treads that had a slick back. I used the backing to secure them in place and add some cushioning as well. It was very easy to cut and install and works perfectly. Keeps the treads in place so my older dog can manage the stairs with out falling.

    So far - So good....I was replacing my old braided stair-treads and did NOT want to use nails on them, like the former owners did, which eventually ripped all the rugs from constant use. Sierra had the BEST price [...], so I bought this product. It was easy to work with and seems to be holding up fine. Walked on many times per day by running teenagers!! Happy Customer!!
