    We have stairs to the basement made of pine boards which I pulled the old carpeting from. After painting the stairwell, I painted the stairs with an oil-based enamel and installed these braided carpet treads using the recommended double-sided sticky strip. Easy and fast to install, feels secure to walk on, and the stairwell looks so much better.

    I have two big dogs who tend to run up the stairs at full speed. I also have two teenage boys who do the same. These treads have not slipped an inch - from the dogs, the kids, vacuuming, etc. They are very well made and give a nice cushioned feel under foot. Make sure to get the Colonial Mills stair tread insulation kit to go with them and you will undoubtedly be pleased.

    Easy to install with the Colonial Mills Stair Tread Installation Kit. Provides better surface on the stairs for my large breed dog to negotiate. If the treads get soiled they are removable for cleaning.
