these look great and dry quickly. Haven't actually tried them for walking, but think they'd be good - especially in the heat.

Although the laces are adjustable, the actual opening for the foot is on the smaller side and somewhat tight. Once on, the shoe is excellent for any water aerobic/water-walking or water activity.

The shoes tighten with an elastic cord. Some work to get the cord tight enough to do its job to keep the shoes on. But for me, the shoe didnt "open up" enough to easily get them on. I have back problems and just too hard to lean over and struggle them on, dry. Can just imagine getting them off when wet. Or worse, putting them on when wet. I returned them. My next order I will look for velcro strap closings.

I bought these to go on a whitewater rafting trip. They worked great for that. Then we also decided to go on a hike up to a waterfall. They were perfect for that. Other people were having trouble slipping on the rocks and I didn't have one bit of trouble, plus I could get in the waterfall with my shoes on! I did order a half size large than I usually wear based on some of the comments other people had listed. That worked out perfectly for me.

Bought 1/2size smaller than usual for good fit. Have worn these across streams, river, mud, & dry land. No need to carry extra shoes, as these drained great, dried quickly & didn't pick up stones. After a wk of abuse, thought they might be "toast" - but - washed them in the sink with a bit of laundry soap, & they look great. The lacing system is nice, as is heel strap adjustment. The little pocket for storing the excess lace is worthless! I'll be wearing these for boating, too, this summer (far better than the slipper-type boat shoes I've had before).

I love these shoes! I read one comment that said they were difficult to put on, but I find that if you use the loops that are provided on the tongue of the shoe and at the heel they go on with ease. I love the way that I can feel the breeze on my feet right through the shoe, and how quickly they dry after playing in the river. My friend saw mine and just had to have a pair also, so that speaks volumnes about how nice they look. I would definately recommend them!

I purchased these shoes for my trip to Hawaii, something to wear on a hiking/kayaking trip. When I received them, I tried them out by walking around on several shopping trips. After 15 minutes or so, one of the shoes bit into my heel a bit, I ended up buying some thin socks to prevent blisters for my trip. They do not have much in the way of arch support. The bungee cord laces do take some getting used to. It would be nice if the shoe had a collapsible heel. However, it is a stable shoe with great traction and had a comfortable amount of space in the toe box for my wide feet. With a few adjustments, it should be just fine.

We go tubing down the Current River in Missouri every year. You need water/river shoes that are snug enough to not slip off your feet due the swift river current. The shoe must also allow for water to flow thru and not allow small pebbles to get into the shoe. These shoes are great.
