“Senior Thought I was Wearing Slippers!”

“I got these in Red Ibis. For this style of shoe, I prefer Easy Spirit (Goddess, ie) The very first comment I had about these shoes came from an elderly man in line at Kohl's: "Oh! I thought you were wearing your house slippers!" It wasn't said in an insulting manner, but I'm guessing that in his world, going out in one's slippers is a grave sin and he could hardly believe his eyes. I cracked up! I mean, who would say that to a complete stranger? We chit-chatted for a while while I stood there about as self-conscious as one can be waiting in line at Kohl's in one's slippers. *lol* So, yeah, in this color, they kind of look like that. The shoes are ok, but I probably won't step out in them again without my robe and a steaming cuppa joe.”
