    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    the shoes are extremely light and thin for a boat shoe in the sole and topside material making the shoe feel flimsy. When both laces broke in the first week under normal use I knew I made a mistake. Restringing a boat shoe is a pain. I would have sent them back except the great STP price made it not worthwhile.
