Better than described. Thinking of getting another pair since I'm doing ranch work and it's a lot of wear and tear. Would be nice to have pair for town!

After fearing I'd missed the boat on winter boots (prices seem to have jumped mid-August everywhere...) these were available in my SIZE (remember, with Columbia's order a HALF size bigger using regular athletic socks..bigger yet if you plan on installing inserts..)I wore them for work (turned wet/cold as soon as I got 'em...)the first 30 out of 72 hours. First day they were stiff; by the third day flexible. Lightweight, great looking. waterproof (we'll see in 6 months..)and warm, but it's only 60 today. My only complaint, and this is industry wide, is that when a person buys this type of a boot it ain't for looks. It's ususally for performance. So why doesn't Columbia spend a little R&D on the foot bed?!!?? It is absolutely Chinesee-sandal FLAT. The boot fits perfect now; it will take awhile before I'm able to insert a gel sole. I work 10 hours/6 days outdoors sloshing around in rain/snow/ice. This will be my third season of Columbia's and Sierra Trading, thanks to both of them.
