    Snow was cascading into the tops of my boots as we shoveled our way through some big storms this past February. I looked all over for a boot that closes at the top, and I finally found these in April. The cinch pull-cord on these boots will keep the snow out. The boot is loose around the ankles, but otherwise, the boots fit well on my size 9-medium-width feet. The materials are excellent, including the synthetic nylon top.

    I bought the boots to go to the winter Olympics in Vancouver and unfortunately it didn't snow so I didn't get to test their traction or waterproof ability. Very comfy but a bit hard to get in and out of. Couldn't wear thick socks with them as I couldn't get my foot in. Still, I LOVED them and wore them nearly every day because they were so comfortable.

    At first, I was afraid I would have to send them back because I couldn't even get them on. I did have very thick socks on and expected to be able to just step into them. When I tried a bit harder, I was able to get them on and then didn't want to take them off. Very light and comfortable. Perfect for urban walking in the winter. Much easier to get off.
