    These boots fit perfectly, right out of the box. I live in Montana and take walks in the mountains every day. These boots are perfect for this time of year, when it's cold, damp and wet. They are lightweight but sturdy---and they are attractive.

    The ankle is super bulky- if you need industrial ankle support they might be great, but my little bird ankles were killing me after an 8 hour shift. Ordered 1/2 size smaller and fits great, very waterproof (yeay)! A little heavy and not super comfortable (feel boxy), but with modifications (leave the top lace hook undone and insoles) I've made them work and will keep them but probably won't order this style again.

I bought a half size larger to fit heavy wool socks and with light socks its still snug at the ankles with plenty of room at the toes.     Someone commented that these boots feel narrow, which is why I bought them. If you have a wide foot, these will be too narrow. Otherwise they are extremely comfortable. They must have gel insoles built in because they are the best feeling boots I've ever put on!
