Columbia Footwear Outpost Hybrid 2 Water Shoes (For Women)

Received my STP package earlier this week, but didn't get a chance to try these babies out until today. As usual, Columbia is a perfect fit straight out of the box! Easy lacing system, and I love the heel adjustment strap. Very lightweight, too. I feel like Cinderella - albeit a more adventurous Cinderella! Highly recommend!!

I prefer theses shoes to the other mesh river shoes I've tried on, easier on and off for one thing, also seem sturdier than some, but I had to exchange them to go up 1/2 size to keep my big toe from hitting the end of the shoe. No one else seems to have commented on this, so maybe it's just me or this pair. I'm hoping 1/2 size up will fit perfect. I'm normally an 8 in active shoes (7.5 in street shoes), but had to return these for the 8.5. Worth it though.

First let me say that Sierra Trading Post is now in my top 10 favorite stores, after shopping for shoes and discovering other great goodies. They were very friendly and helpful at the store. When they didn't have the color I wanted in stock, they ordered it for me and the box was shipped directly to my home without shipping cost! Now for the shoes: I am a typical size 7.5-8. The 7.5 was too small, and in the 8 my toe almost rubs the tip of the shoe...just almost. The entire front of the shoe is wider than my usual comfort level, but I've actually found this to be REALLY comfortable, and I think it helps to allow the air to circulate and keep sweaty feet to a minimum. I LOVE the heel tightening strap, and after a few uses I have it down to a quick on-off science. The brown color is perfect and I think will help camo the dirt from off-roading. The gray is nice, too. I haven't seen the other color. Performance-wise: I bought these specifically for the upcoming summer of hiking to and through waterfalls in Hawaii and Nevada, trail walks and potentially the Tough Mudder in NorCal. I haven't had a chance to put them to the real hard test, so can't speak to the speed of drying, but I can say with some confidence that these will do well in the dirt. The traction on the bottom looks solid. I have used them for a week of running, and am in love. NO SOCKS -it's how I plan to wear them for the outdoor events, and so far I haven't even encountered the expected break-in blister...not one raw spot. Hope this helps :)

I purchased this shoe for light hiking rather than for boating although it is a good lightweight shoe that can get wet. My daughter also has a pair she hiked with in the desert.

These are great out of the water as well as in. Lightweight, airy, well cushioned, room for your toes, adjustable. Based on prior reviews I did order 1/2 size larger than usual and they fit perfectly. Love them!
