Columbia Footwear Pagora Hiking Shoes - Waterproof (For Women)

I bought these to use on our vacation to the Olympic Peninsula. Others had told me I needed a good pair of waterproof hiking shoes. Well, I just got back from two weeks of hiking the mountains and beaches with these shoes and they were great! They weren't especially broken in when we went (I'd worn them about 10-12 hrs is all) and they were very comfortable on the trails. They are seriously waterproof! The peninsula is a lot of rainforest but my feet never got wet. They kept my feet dry even when fording streams across the beaches or wading thru puddles and mud in the mountains. The only problem I had was with traction. The first time we hit the rocks on the beach to check out the tide pools I slipped down a rock like I was ice skating. The weird thing is that the slide took me into the surf of the ocean and once the tread on the shoes got good and wet they had great traction. I didn't slip at all anymore after that.

Love them! Use them for walking, some hiking. Very comfortable from Day 1. When the price went down enough, bought a second pair. Have not worn them in extremely wet conditions, but they are water resistant.

The shoes seem great so far. I haven't given them a very rigorous test yet, but they are comfortable. Although I clicked "stiff" as a con, they are no more stiff than any other hiking shoe I've had. They run a little small, but I knew that (tried them on at a local store first) and ordered up.

Like regular Columbia shoes, I don't need any break in. I wear them daily to take walks during my lunch break. They have good arch support in which is very important due to my heel injury.

I bought one pair for myself, and then another pair for my mother.

Needed a good, light weight hiker with good ankle support (therapuetic horseback riding instructor--alot of arena walking time in sand), but didn't need a havy duty hiker. This shoe is just the right mix: comfortable, stable, supports ankle and foot, and is made well.

Fantastic & very comfortable shoe right from the start. I use them for day hikes on the rugged California North Coast and so far they are holding up just great! The weather around here is pretty unpredictable so I wanted a hiker that was waterproof and this one is working out well. I'll know this summer how long that waterproofing will last. All around great product!

I am planning to go hiking in the Alps this summer and needed a waterproof hiker. Have worn these to school in winter and they were perfect. Very light weight on and breathable. Thanks for a great shoe.
