Columbia Footwear Pagora Mid Trail Shoes (For Men)

Finally got to take these out for a little 12 mile hike last weekend and for the first time wearing them, I was very happy. We decided to pack in for a mini trip and the stability while carrying a pack was great. It was a fairly hilly trail and I felt a little slide forward in the boot on the downhill, but about what you would expect from any boot. It was a hot day and the breathability was good and they were simple to take on and off while still providing secure lacing. I really like to high-top ankle support for the trail, but probably wouldn't wear them around town, although they do look nice. Overall great boot for day hikes or lighter trips. I only give it four stars because of lack of versatility, but for day hikes and light trips, it's top notch. Price was pretty good too.

Just got these in anticipation of a trip to NZ, where I intend to do some "tramping", so I have not had a chance to put them to the test. Nevertheless, it seems as if they will work out quite well. Very comfortable and solid with good support. I am a big guy, and I am always concerned about amount of support. No worries with these. I ordered up a size, 14 instead of 13, and I think that was a good idea. 13 might have fit, but if you are thinking of wearing extra socks (or a liner and a sock), I would definitely order up a size. So far so good.

I'm on my feet most if the day and need a shoe with good support and all day comfort, this shoe does the job.

Nice Boots. Appear well made. Have not had very long. Replacing a pair of Garmont's that did not perform very well. So, these books look more heavy duty than the Garmont.

I initially bought the women's version of these boots for myself. I liked them so much that, when it came time to look for a pair of light trail shoes/hikers for my boyfriend, I decided to pick up a pair for him, too. I wear mine both on trip and around town. They are very comfortable and we both feel that they are true to size, with a little room for a thick hiking sock. I've had mine since last summer, and they seem to be holding up nicely so far!

I love a pair of shoes that look nice and feel good when you first put them on. These shoes fit well and have a nice contoured foot bed. I actually look forward to wearing them. I use them mostly for everyday wear. They are light, sturdy, and give good ankle support. I haven't used them for hiking yet, but I think they'd be great for a day hike.

Will use for everyday casual wear in the winter.
