great for going out in the sunner

I normally wear open-toe rugged sport sandals with arch support for outdoor pursuits, but wanted something with closed toes and a little more style for going out casual. These are good looking with still a little rustic edge. They arrived a bit stiff but are softening up nicely and becoming quite comfortable. The sole has some medium arch supports and little ridges (thet I'm getting used to) behind the toes. Unlike some others I tried, the upper does not rub or catch my toes. The substantial velcro heel strap secures the fore-aft foot position where I want; the forefoot is stable and the strap is comfortably secure. The rear is open below the strap and allows lateral and horizontal mobility of the heel, which might limit its desireability for aggressive sports or on rough trails.
