Columbia Gusto Guide Pants - Stretch Double Weave, Soft Shell (For Women)

I really like these pants. I ordered my usual size,a 6, and they were too snug. Exchanged for the 8 and they are perfect allowing needed movement for hiking, biking, etc., without being bulky. Design is definitely more fitted and will allow transition into evening dining at a lodge or restaurant, etc. if needed. Looking forward to using them for all outdoor activities. I think they will be warmer than I expected. Length is good- I am 5'10 and 135 lbs. Can't speak to durability and water-resistance, etc., yet.

I really like these pants! They are a bit long, but still, I am complimented about them quite often. Wearing these I am ready for any rainy day, water rolls right off of them. Comfortable fit.

These are my new favorite pants, because they combine tremendous comfort with looking neat and professional. I wasn't expecting them to look to neat and "pressed". But since they did, I wore them with pumps to a professional clergy luncheon. I have also worn them on long walks (5-15 miles) with running shoes. I got them in anticipation of a three-week camping/hiking trip out west this summer. So far have only worn them in less than 75 degree heat, so I haven't tested the breathability, and the fabric is on the heavy side; they may be uncomfortably warm in the hottest of summer hiking. I was surprised to find that the size 4 fits me perfectly (was afraid it would be small) but I have narrow hips (35.5"), and these sit a bit below the waist, so the fact that I don't have the classic hourglass figure is not a problem. I am only 5'3.5" tall, so they are a tad long with sneakers, but with the cinch cord at the hem, I can adjust how they hang so they don't drag. And they looked great with the pumps. I may try to get another pair before the closeouts are all gone!

I am only 5'3" so these pants were a little too long for me. But because they have a draw string at the bottom of the pants I simply pull the string a little tight and tuck the hem under - it is absolutely perfect length now and stays in place for me. I love the water repellent feature and dirt brushes off easily as well. They do not wrinkle and are very comfortable for travel. My new favorite pants! Love them so much I wonder why you would choose to discontinue them.

I got the mud colour and think its great. I'm 170cm and 61kg and they fit great. They are lightweight but quite warm. The belt trap is a bit too long for me with no way to attach it on the side. Also catches on bushes and probably not too durable for outdoors. Nice and comfortable though and great pants for walking.
