    As soon as I opened the package, I put these on and wore them for the rest of the day. I was worried about the sizing as I can wear anything between a 14-16 and sometimes between 12-18. I orderd size XL and the spandex/swimsuit material was instantly comfortable, stretchy enough to fit without uncomfortable buldges. This is cute with t-shirt and flip flops and looking forward to wearing it biking, kayaking and such. Only downsize is I prefer a drawstring waist to ensure my clothes stay on and this doesn't have it. The boyfriend said it looked cute on so I can see this as being a regualr piece in my summer wardrobe.

    The shorts are comfortable, not tight or loose, do not ride up. The zipper on right front hip pocket only opens 2.5 inches and the 1.5 inch end of the zipper sticks out and adds width to your hip on that side. I cut out the stub of the zipper that doesn't open. I just cut out the teeth and got the rest to fray apart so I didn't have to take the seams apart. Now the skirt lays flatter on that side. Looks great. Size 8, straight in the hips with round backside, medium is perfect. I love that the sides aren't round as many skirts are. This is a good fit for women who are straight on the side of the hips.

    Columbia brands usually run large (for me). This fits. But it fits like a leotard. The material is very stretchy/comfy. But, it fits like a second skin. Does not appear as loose as on the manequin. It is comfortable enough. I'm just not comfortable in it. I think a medium would have been perfect. I will give to my daughter who is half my age and it will look adorable on her. I'm 5'3 and 125 pounds. If medium was still available I'd consider an exchange.
