Closeouts. A modified tanto profile AUS-8 steel blade, Outburst quick-assist opening and AutoLawks safety lock put maximum performance into the Tiny Tighe knife from Columbia River Knife and Tool.
Perfect for daily carry
Dual thumb studs allow either hand operation
Handle has deep finger choils and a hooked pommel for great grip
Deep, 60-degree Veff serrated edge and razor edge for versatility
the blade is very good and the serrations are nice. the one area of complaint is that you have to close it in two steps. this is somewhat tedious and seems unnecessary. other than that its a great knife, good steel. i have small hands and the handle fits my hand well.

A little small for me but is still extremely comfortable and easy to work. I use it for little things around the campsite and fishing. It's size and serrated edges do make it handy for working with fishing line and gutting fish, or cutting other meats.

I received the knife and spend about a week using it exclusively. I can only give it three stars because of a few of its shortcomings.
1. The blade is difficult to close one handed. While I like the safety lock mechanism on the back the slide lock on the front is difficult to move as it is not high enough above the grip. If it was about an eighth of an inch higher it would be easier to move. As for some that would say "then it is not a safety lock and you could slip the blade lock and the blade would close" I would counter that is what the rear lock is for. As it is now you have to move the rear lock forward this will release a catch so that the front lock can be pressed to the left releasing the blade.
2. The assisted opening feature. I would like to see a safety mechanism so that the blade could not be opened accidentally in a pocket. As it is now a slight bit of pressure on the thumb screw and the spring opens the blade. Granted you can always remove the assisted opening spring but then that would just defeat the purpose of buying an assisted opening knife.
Aside from these two points I find that the knife is well made and balanced. The blade has held an edge so far, but then again I have only been using it for a week.

I bought the first knife on an impulse, to use as a daily knife. I bought the other five as gifts. I'm very happy with the assisted opening and the locking systems. Very positive, and easy to use with a tiny bit of practice.
One issue, the thumb studs can get caught on your pocket liner when the knife is being put away, causing the knife to open in one's pocket. The spring isn't strong enough to push the blade all the way open, but still, a small issue.

Pros:
CKRT Quality Control, Durable
Cons:
Blade finish, Small handle for big hand
Best Uses:
Self defense, Survival
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is a great little knife for every day carry. The black blade finish is strange to me, because it's not like some big name makers good black coatings. The previous Tiny Tighe that I purchased had smaller serrations, which I prefer, but the picture plainly shows these huge serrations and that's what you will receive!Good for cutting rope or cardboard. The action is good and CKRT tolerances are pretty good for this price. Good self defense knife which is small, but carries a wallop.Finger grooves are a little dicey for people with large hands, but you can't have everything in a knife, unless you spend a lot. Overall, a good knife, with good lockup and action, very sharp, and decent looking blade and handle.

This knife is pretty good deal for the price. I've never had an assisted open knife and find it very intriguing. Very positive experiences with it so far. The Autolawks feature, while weirdly named, works superbly and isn't hard to learn to close, after a bit of practice. Very satisfied with this purchase. Might even buy a couple more.

Great knife, I bought it to check out the autolawks and outburst features.
I use a knife at work on a daily basis and I have found that a serrated edge works best on a straight Tanto point knife with at least 4 inches of blade and 3 inches of serration. It allows enough saw-like movement to fully facilitate the use of the edge. Any smaller length of serration and a razor edge becomes more efficient. I own an old (same size) Tighe Tac that is my favorite dress knife with the razor edge and it works better on cutting rope, packing tape or cardboard. And I work with a fully serrated 4 inch Tanto blade Cold Steel Voyage that is the best work knife I have found to date.
Now with all that said I am still quite happy with the Tiny Tighe Breaker you sold me. It is a good knife.
