I think another reviewer said it best, "I didn't need it, but I had to have it". That describes my purchase of this knife as well. Let me say that I am really impressed, the knife is well made and I think it will stand the test of time. The small pry bar on the handle is a fantastic idea, I have broken the tips off several knives by using them in such a way. I love the sheath, however the only 2 drawbacks thus far have to do with the sheath. First, the knife sticks a little in the plastic case that is in the sheath. I think this will correct itself over time. The second is that the plastic case sometimes tries to come out with the knife. It's nothing a little super glue won't fix though. Overall this knife makes a great addition to my collection. The thing is AWESOME!

this knife can take some serious abuse and the sheath is very comfortable to wear while hiking.

have been doing extensive research to find the "perfect" knife for 2-3 week jungle/mountain trip, as a companion to a machete-this one isn't it, but its close. Sheath can be mounted anywhere, and has a small holder for a multi-tool (my SOG Powerlock fits nicely) which is a definite plus. Will put it to use around the property for an extended evaluation. Grip appears to be useful even wet, but handle a little small for my hands. Would prefer a flatter, larger butt for pounding/hammer work. Overall, tho, good knife for the money. Should have read the specs better- do not like that its from China-thought it was american made. My mistake, not STP.

well built. good grip. excellent hunting and/or tactical knife. the prybar on the handle is a great idea, saves the blade tip. but the sheath is just ginormous. it's Rambo-sized. scale that baby back a little bit.

I bought this knife for hunting, and I think it will work great. The plastic liner in the sheath comes out when I pull the knife out, so it needs more glue. Overall the knife and the exterior of the sheath are well made, so I would still recommend this product to others.

The knife came on time and looks great, very sharp. The only issue is that I would like to use it around the house or to take around with me for small projects and there is only the giant sheath which makes it cumbersome to carry. But overall very satisfied

I use this knife for anything and everything(Camping, Fishing, Hunting). Its wonderful for basic use in your home yet super durable for the outdoors. Its sharp enough to shave the hair off your arm right out of the box and hasn't dulled since I bought it, also the sheath that comes with it is definitely one of the nicest sheaths I've ever gotten with a fixed blade knife having an extra compartment and para cord. Bottom line is this knife is excellent all around and you couldn't ask for a better price.
