“Wanted a shirt to offer some protection from recoil using an AR-10. This is NOT the shirt for that. The extra material on the shoulder is there to help prevent wear through and is more for people clay shooting (that's what the rep said). It's basically a second piece of cloth sewn over the original shirt. Looks good, but doesn't do more than that.”
