Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Nature Photographer from Florida on Thursday, August 29, 2013I purchased this product as a lightweight, 3-season sleeping bag that I could easily take in my checked luggage. Now that I have it in my hands, there is no doubt that I could easily bring this in my carry-on luggage! It packs down to an incredibly small size (approximately a loaf of bread) and could easily be compressed several inches smaller with a strap. It is soft and comfortable and should be an excellent addition to my gear set.
Reviewed by Happy Camper Andy from Iowa on Thursday, August 22, 2013The maiden voyage for this bag was an eight day excursion on the High Sierra Trail, California. The bag was really put to the test as we chose to sleep without tents most nights. I was skeptical of the Columbia brand for this sleeping bag, and was hoping it would hold up to the quality and comfort I was used to in other brands. I was not disappointed as this bag kept me warm even on the coldest nights (35 degrees F) so long as I had my mid-weight base layer top on. It's super lightweight and packs to the size of a 1 1/2 L water bottle. Recommended for the price!
Reviewed by climb on from California on Tuesday, August 6, 2013I'm a cold sleeper and this kept me plenty warm on half dome. The zipper is hard to operate
Reviewed by Seth from Jackson, WY on Friday, August 2, 2013With a 40% off code, I paid about $170 for this bag. My friend just got a new Marmot 32 degree bag as well. His is like 2 oz. lighter. But his stuff sack sucks and definitely needs a compression bag. The Moonstone's stuff sack is tough to pack into, but good enough to not need the weight of a compression sack. So very comparable bags. Except he paid over twice as much as I did.
