This product is used during off work time in cold weather conditions of all types. The foot support system is done well.

I got these to replace a pair of Salomon Apres Ski boots and perhaps because I have a sense of humor and remember the L'il Abner cartoon strip. I have absolutely no idea how this thin insulation works but it amazed me on a 0 degree two mile walk. These are warm Boots! I needed to change the removable insole for something much stiffer, with more support. But after about a hundred yards wondering if I'd get used to the strange feeling of a loose ankle constriction, my gate accommodated the 'odd', 'different' feel and I just walked ... Good shoes / boots and I think they are well worth the price.

These are OK, nothing especially good or bad. They're OK for a quick outing in cold weather, but they really don't have enough insulation to keep your feet warm when it's cold (the 20's or lower). They are reasonably comfortable walking on firm level surfaces, but pretty uncomfortable climbing severe slopes.The heel area pinches in where the rubber side of the heel meets the leather. Ouch! I'll keep them, but they'll be used a lot less than I'd planned.

I like the arch support, the fit, the warmth, good grip, and easy slip on design. These boots seem to fit similar to columbia hiking boots I have owned and are very comfortable. I wear them a lot around the house in wet or cold weather, and have used them on paved and tame dirt hills for short walks with no complaints.
