Columbia Sportswear Alpine Adventure Dog Coat - Waterproof Soft Shell

Size is accurate as stated, but make sure you measure your dog. I got a smaller size because I'm using this as a compression wrap for a nervous dog. I think of my Golden Retriever (65 lbs) as a medium to large dog, the "L" coat would probably fit a 45 lb dog as a normal dog coat. The length/girth measurements listed are accurate, just don't go by what size you think your dog is. This is a nice, high quality coat that any dog would be proud to be seen in--nothing silly about it. For this type of coat, (good coverage) it's quite easy to put on. The dogs wore these for airline travel and no one got any limbs caught or twisted. They are fabulous for the sporting dog who needs a little more weather protection whether from old age or a harsh climate. It also washes very well. I liked it so much I ordered two more. Oh, and the dogs like all the positive attention they get while wearing their soft shell jackets--everyone gushes about how 'cute' they look.

I have a 7 lb Yorkie who hates rain and cold wind. I have bought many coats for her but they are not made as well as this one. This coat is extremely well constucted and thoughtfully designed to minimize hair from catching in velcro, and the zippers have wide back-flaps to prevent same problem.

We got this for our dog because there's a rainy season here in Okinawa and I'm sick of washing dog towels. It's only rained 1 day since we bought it, but I haven't noticed any smell retention. I got nervous when I first saw the leg holes, but they are easily maneuvered onto the dog.

This coat provides a perfect waterproof shield for my dog when we walk in the rain. It has been non-stop sun here since I bought it so I have yet to try it out. But my pooch tried it on and modeled it and he looks great in it. I look forward to the coat helping to keep his underside clean and his back dry. The green color is way cool too!

Bought 3 of these in different colors. They fit nicely. Have access on the back for a leash to hook to a harness. Will protect the dogs from rain and have a light fleece lining for warmth.
