    I was hoping to replace a Columbia shell I have had for years and that is not totally waterproof. This jacket is nice quality, but the medium I own is bigger than this large. Is tight all over and shorter than I hoped. I am sending it back.

    Had tried same brand similar style jacket on before I ordered online from Australia - unfortunately was not a good fit - great value at discounted price..if I didnt need to wear underlayers would be just OK but was still tight fitting under the arms..will need to exchange

    I am taking a trip to a country where it is their rainy season and wanted a "rain jacket" with a hood and one that was durable, stylish, water repellant, etc. I looked at this jacket at the stores so I knew what I was getting. I am usually a size medium and I wish this was just a fraction roomier but still works. The large was too large so medium was my best option. I like the side zippered pockets and the inside pocket; great to "hide" something; money or passport. I also like the adjustable velcro around the wrists; you can adjust it to however you want it to fit. Also, can't beat Sierra's price!!
