Origionally got a large for my mother-in-law who usually wears a medium based upon the reviews. As she has long arms the sleeve length was great but the fit in the shoulders was a bad joke. Exchanged for an XL and it fits her great. She can layer a fleece under it without difficulty. She has worn it out walking the dog in a NH storm and been comfortable. Too bad Columbia doesn;t understand sizing. I like the jacket but might not be worth the hassle (though Sierra's exchange is quite easy) if this is a gift.

This jacket is ridiculously small. Got it for a friend based upon reviews that the sleve length would be appropriate - she has long arms. The arms may be alright but over all the "large" is a medium at best...Will be sending it back asap. The overall nature of the jacket seems ok to keep the rain out but we will never know.

Many negative reviews noted sleeves were way too long, my cue to buy. I am 6'1" and the sleeves are plenty long for me.

This jacket functions like a top of the line rain jacket and doesn't look too bad. The fit is a bit awkward for me, a little tight in the waist and the sleeves are very roomy. I'm keeping it.

Nice design- bridges techie crunchie shell and good looking urban wear. Got the blue with green zippers, for me a big departure from urban black, glad I got it. Pockets are useful but not annoyingly prolific, nice mid weight fabric, loooong arms (never happens for me), and not really too loud nylonish sounds when arms rub against the body. Beware I got pink at first and the pitzips were a different color zipper than the other zips. Fit is tighter on chest than expected, I tried the Med but ended up with large for this reason. Usually I'm a Med in Columbia stuff. I am impervious to rain now.

  • Question “How many pockets are there? Just the two large outer ones or are there any inside?”
Asked on 9/19/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer There are 2 pockets on the inside. One has a zipper and one does not.
Answered on 10/18/2011 12:00:00 AM by PAM from Portland, Oregon
    • Answer Inside on R side there is a top opening pocket 5" wide x 11" deep. Left side a half side zip version, both of them footprints of the big outside pockets, just as big & separated from outside ones only by lining. The outside ones go deep below zippers so secure, not going to lose cellphone, etc. but inside ones are almost too deep/big/soft to be real useful in a shell, though good for tissues & gloves, etc.

Asked on 5/28/2011 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
