Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by NWWI from NW Wi on Sunday, February 10, 2013I have owned this jacket for over a year.It has been completly water and windproof in down pours for hours at a time(Columbia claims only water resistant). It is very light weight, packable. Not good for warmer weather ,no lining and sticky on the arms.No venting, does not breath well.Great with long sleeve shirt.Good hood adjustments. Keeps me warm to 30f with a med fleece under. I'm 6-1 225lbs no gut, XXL fit me perfecly, it is a trimmer fit through the arms and chest.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by DUG from CROSSVILLE,TN on Wednesday, March 7, 2012Used with hoodie on cooler days, does very well.
Will retain sweat if used alone in heavier exercise.
Good repellency so far.
Needs snaps along with zipper and overlapping zipper flap. Vertical pockets would be helpful on front.
Feels as if more room is needed and some longer length would be nice.
- Best Uses: Windyrainy days 40F
- Cons: 3x feels slightly small, Needs better pockets, No alternate closure, Not great breatheability, Tends to sweat
- Pros: Best used with layers, Decent water repellency, Hooded, Light Weight, Velcro cuffs, Very wind resistant, Zipper feels solid
Verified Buyer Reviewed by KLC from Arkansas on Tuesday, February 28, 2012This jacket isn't what I expected at all. It's not as heavy as I thought and there is no lining. It's just a glorified rain coat.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by flyboy from Bend, OR on Tuesday, February 21, 2012Great jacket to keep in the fishing gear bag.
- Best Uses: Packable rain gear
- Pros: Good Look, Light Weight
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Occam from Chicago, IL on Thursday, February 16, 2012It is a very light weight jacket. I'm slightly over six feet tall and it barely covers my belt line.
