I did that, and ended up returning the first one. I am about 4'11", 105 pounds.The small was SWIMMING on me. I re-ordered an XS, and am quite happy with the fit - still roomy enough for bulky winter sweaters, but not like wearing a tent. The zip out fleece fits great as well. The finish on the coat is more waterproof than expected. It has a nice assortment of useful pockets, and the coat is warm enough for our NY weather.

Only issue is that the jacket is a little short in the armholes with the fleece. Would recommend going up a size except that the jacket would be too big when worn without the fleece. It is a shame that the design did not take this into consideration and make the armholes a little deeper.

I took the advice and ordered a size larger (I usually where a medium, so I ordered a large) and it was huge! I exchanged the large for a medium, and even that is bigger than I would prefer. I really wish I had ordered a small. I decided it wasn’t worth the effort to do another exchange.

The teal color makes it stylish enough for casual wear as well. Contrary to other reviews, it does not run large. I ordered the Medium and had to exchange it for a Small which is what I would normally have bought. And yes, the fleece sleeves are a little long, but I want the outer cuffs snugged up to keep out the cold air and that seems to keep the fleece inside.

It's kept me warm waiting 40 minutes with temperatures in the teens on a snowy morning and easily unzips to vent without taking the liner out when I'm just a little too warm after a brisk walk. The outer shell is a tiny bit noisy with movement (I carry a small messenger bag on my commute) and I've had to figure out where to clip a light when it's dark, neither of which are dealbreakers for such a good deal. A few weeks after I started wearing mine, my sister tried it on and told me she could use one of her own.
