Columbia Sportswear Blue River Shorts (For Women)

Bought these for every day wear and for hiking. Ordered a size up from what I read in other reviews but it's too big. Waiting for the exchange pair. Sits low on the waist but I expected that from other reviews. Light, comfortable, and stylish. Geven the material, I epxect these to dry fast after a trip to the river/canyoneering/hiking in water. Lots of pockets but the upper pockets are too small and the lower leg pockets close with a snap, not velcro, which is impractical given the location of the pocket - ever try to close a snap against your thigh?

These shorts are flattering and will be great for hiking. It's nice to be able to find shorts that don't show so much skin for us women who are no longer 20 or 30 year olds! They are very comfortable.

Very nice pants but not true to the other Columbia pants sizing I own and love. Unfortunately I had to return these. This was really a good buy if they had fit.

Very comfortable shorts. Lightweight fabric should dry quickly. I bought these for a beach vacation. Should be perfect for slipping them over a swim suit. They also seem great for hiking.

Wow! I didn't know I was so skinny! ...or these were way, way too big. Great price, so I'll spend the time to take them in about 2" in the waist.

size not right

A bit tight in the seat. I bought a 6 and often Columbia size 6 is too big for me.

I am a solid 8, and own plenty of Columbia products in size 8. These shorts were way too small and I had to return them. They looked nice. I will be curious to see if the 10 is too big, or if this pair just happened to be mis-sized.

Just got back from sea kayaking and hiking in Baja, Mexico, these were the only shorts I wanted to wear. Dry very quickly, great pockets, I am tall so the length was great. Wished I had more with me on the trip, so I just bought 2 more pairs!
